What you will do

  • Build and maintain interactive in-product learning experiences to improve user onboarding.
  • Create workflows that enable non-engineers to contribute to and iterate on learning content.
  • Instrument learning flows to track progress and identify points of friction for users.
  • Implement observability principles to ensure production stability and fast feedback loops.
  • Utilize agentic AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate prototyping and feature delivery.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain and support features in production.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Canada
  • Deep experience with serious software engineering fundamentals, architecture, and maintainability.
  • Proven ability to work with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and manage related risks.
  • Solid experience with observability practices or real-world use of Grafana.
  • Experience shipping production-grade code and explaining technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong communication skills for writing documentation, design notes, and PR descriptions.

Nice to have

  • Meaningful open source contribution or maintainer experience.
  • Full-stack development experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or Go.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and the broader observability ecosystem (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, OpenTelemetry).
