What you will do

  • Partner with retail operations and stakeholders to document current-state workflows and translate findings into future-state SOPs.
  • Configure and validate in-store usability settings, ensuring the store experience matches SOPs and training.
  • Build role-based training plans and deliver live training to ensure store teams are confident ahead of go-live.
  • Own the rollout playbook, providing on-site support during rollout waves and triaging issues.
  • Coordinate with technical architects and engineering teams to understand POS requirements and client-specific customizations.
  • Support basic hardware setup and troubleshooting in-store, coordinating with IT for infrastructure decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in retail systems rollout, POS implementation, store systems, retail operations enablement, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify POS / POSOS and its constraints/limitations.
  • Proven track record leading multi-store rollouts with on-site training and go-live support.
  • Strong SOP/documentation skills and comfortable coaching associates/managers in fast-paced environments.
  • Able to travel in rollout "waves" (estimated ~25% travel, with some periods of intensive travel).

Nice to have

  • Experience migrating from legacy POS (e.g., Square, Lightspeed, NCR, etc.) into Shopify POS.
  • Familiarity with retail inventory processes (receiving, transfers, cycle counts, full counts).
  • Shopify’s POS Launch and Operations training / verified skills badge.
