Salary: $144,500 – $195,000 AUD

What you will do

  • Develop and optimize web applications using Ruby on Rails to solve complex technical challenges for APAC customers.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to build, diagnose, and maintain high-scale software solutions.
  • Mentor new engineers, provide code reviews, and help establish engineering practices in the newly formed Australian team.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle within an agile, collaborative environment.
  • Actively contribute to product improvements by integrating AI tools and features into existing legal workflows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building large-scale web applications with Ruby on Rails.
  • Demonstrated success in mentorship and working within an agile development process.
  • Strong background in solving complex technical problems and a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to build trust across distributed teams.
  • Willingness to learn and improve craft through the application of AI tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience in cross-training from different tech stacks such as Python, C++, or JavaScript.
