TL;DR

Senior Automation Engineer (Pharma/Biotech): Leading the design and implementation of industrial automation and control systems for high-stakes projects in the Life Sciences sector with an accent on PLC/DCS architecture, system specification development, and vendor management. What you will do

  • Design industrial automation and control systems from the concept stage.
  • Develop control system design specifications in collaboration with clients and project teams.
  • Select and manage automation contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and validate vendor and system integrator design documentation.
  • Conduct control system hardware and software Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Provide on-site support during installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

Requirements

  • Must have 8+ years of experience in automation engineering for industrial systems.
  • Degree or technical apprenticeship in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation.
  • Expertise in industrial control systems such as PLC and DCS.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret panel drawings and P&ID diagrams.
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and German is required.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed for project requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, or Food/Dairy industries.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation interfaces, I/O lists, and signal loops.
