What you will do

  • Design and create gameplay animation systems for high-quality character motion.
  • Design and implement animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve in-game animation implementation issues and technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with Animation, Design, and Programming departments to ensure pipeline efficiency.
  • Maintain the style and quality bar for animations in the game.
  • Improve animation pipeline/workflow and provide solutions for technical animation problems.

Requirements

  • Strong animation sense with understanding of realistic and stylized character motion.
  • Expertise with animation pipelines, including Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unreal Engine Control Rig.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with gameplay animation tools and concepts like blend trees and state machines.
  • Experience with AAA game development using an established game engine.
  • Must work onsite in Cary, United States.
  • Fluent in English (B2 required).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Unreal Engine Animation Blueprints.
