What you will do
- Architectural Optimization: Design and implement Kubernetes scaling strategies (HPA, VPA, Karpenter) aligned with real-time demand.
- Reliability/Cost Trade-off: Lead technical decisions on cost optimization versus over-provisioning to protect SLOs.
- Proactive Analysis: Audit cloud environments to identify underutilized resources and provide actionable savings data.
- Automation & Guardrails: Develop IaC modules and CI/CD policies to prevent cost drift and optimize resource usage.
- Cross-Functional Advocacy: Collaborate with Finance and Product teams to translate infrastructure metrics into business value.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Deep Kubernetes expertise with expert-level knowledge of K8s internals.
- Cloud fluency managing large-scale AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.
- Mastery of Terraform for complex multi-environment deployments.
- System design skills explaining compute trade-offs (On-Demand, Spot, Reserved) and impact on availability.
- Data-driven mindset with strong proficiency in Prometheus, Grafana, and SQL.
