What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team with a focus on ownership and accountability.
  • Design and evolve scalable microservices and APIs integrated with data pipelines.
  • Establish engineering best practices for testing, observability, and performance.
  • Partner with Architecture and Data Platform teams to define system foundations and long-term strategy.
  • Identify and mitigate risks regarding system dependencies, scalability, and production readiness.
  • Represent the engineering team and initiatives to senior business and product stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership and people management.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring framework.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
  • Extensive experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating AI/ML components such as model inference services.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native services, GoLang, or Cloud code.
  • Background in Expense Management or the Travel industry.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI governance and compliance practices.
