What you will do
- Lead, build, and mentor a team of Applications Engineers through technical coaching and performance management.
- Triage and prioritize field-reported software and system issues, maintaining high backlog quality.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to analyze robot usage metrics and drive product improvements.
- Oversee alpha and beta trials for new features across various customer sites.
- Automate workflows and leverage AI tools to conduct root cause analysis and team retrospectives.
- Deliver internal training on robot system applications to support technical services and operations teams.
Requirements
- BSc. or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in Applications Engineering or Technical Support.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering or QA teams.
- Strong background in troubleshooting complex, production-scale application issues.
- Demonstrated ability to make prioritization decisions in high-stakes environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with C++, Python, and Bash scripting.
- Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS).
