What you will do

  • Lead, build, and mentor a team of Applications Engineers through technical coaching and performance management.
  • Triage and prioritize field-reported software and system issues, maintaining high backlog quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to analyze robot usage metrics and drive product improvements.
  • Oversee alpha and beta trials for new features across various customer sites.
  • Automate workflows and leverage AI tools to conduct root cause analysis and team retrospectives.
  • Deliver internal training on robot system applications to support technical services and operations teams.

Requirements

  • BSc. or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in Applications Engineering or Technical Support.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering or QA teams.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting complex, production-scale application issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to make prioritization decisions in high-stakes environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with C++, Python, and Bash scripting.
  • Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS).
  • Experience with incident management systems like Jira.
