TL;DR

Senior Engineer (AI/ML) (Fintech): Designing and developing AI agents, systems, and workflows for investments and risk use cases with an accent on leveraging Gen-AI and machine learning to generate insights and automate key tasks. Focus on selecting appropriate AI/ML models, managing training and context data, and evaluating accuracy and fine-tuning performance throughout the model lifecycle.

Location: Must spend at least four full days each week working in an Invesco office in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

What you will do

  • Design and develop AI agents, systems, and workflows for investments and risk use cases.
  • Identify opportunities for AI/ML across the platform.
  • Leverage Gen-AI and machine learning to generate insights and automate key tasks.
  • Select appropriate AI/ML models, manage training and context data, evaluate accuracy, and fine-tune performance.
  • Develop robust evaluation frameworks and observability tooling to ensure accurate and consistent results throughout the model lifecycle.
  • Support the data flow and infrastructure for effective AI deployment.

Requirements

  • Proven exposure to AI/ML.
  • Proven years-experience engineering, implementing, and supporting enterprise solutions.
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Problem‑solving and analytical thinking, with the ability to break down complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills, able to collaborate well with cross‑functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in an agile environment an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AWS services beneficial.
