Location: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week.

What you will do
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy for BambooHR's platform.
- Lead architecture decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the platform engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Partner with product, design, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Drive operational efficiency and performance of the platform, ensuring high availability, security, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop technical leadership capabilities across teams, mentoring and guiding engineers to foster a strong pipeline of future leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performance platforms in a SaaS environment.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP), microservices architecture, data storage solutions, and API design.
- Expertise in software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive consensus.
- Passion for building high-quality, scalable, and secure systems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
