TL;DR

Environment Art Internship: Developing skills in creating and integrating high-quality environment art and assets into ongoing game projects with an accent on learning best practices, production pipelines, and workflows. Location: Onsite in Oxford, UK. This role is only open to applicants who have the permanent right to work in the UK. The company is unable to provide or take over visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Create, implement, and iterate high-quality asset and environment art with feedback and guidance.
  • Learn best practices, production pipelines, and workflows.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to build creative environments.
  • Reference game design documents to understand project environments, objectives, and style.
  • Track and update task progress using JIRA.
  • Develop an understanding of the custom game engine and tools.

Requirements

  • You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
  • Completing a university placement year, a career switcher, or an aspiring environment artist with minimal Game Development industry experience.
  • An environment art portfolio containing personal or educational projects.
  • Self-learner with a passion for game development and asset creation.
  • Competency in 3D software such as Blender.
  • Basic knowledge of 3D sculpting packages such as Zbrush.
  • Basic knowledge of PBR material pipeline and texturing, and experience using a game engine for world building.
  • Willingness to translate concept and reference artwork into 3D assets.
