What you will do

  • Apply and develop machine learning techniques.
  • Identify relevant data sources based on internal and external data.
  • Analyze data for trends and patterns and interpret data with a clear business objective in mind.
  • Experiment with various technologies and tools to create innovative data-driven insights.
  • Implement mathematical/ML models and patterns into production by collaborating with software developers and data engineers.
  • Ensure quality and robustness of data science solutions using standard testing approaches and statistical analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or quantitative discipline/field.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Quantitative research or Applied mathematics or 4+ years of academic research experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related discipline.
  • Proficient in Python and its data science ecosystem (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn,…).
  • Solid understanding of machine learning methodologies, algorithms and statistical modelling principles.
  • Experience translating business problems into data science solutions and clearly communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Serbian.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Databricks and/or Spark, as well as AWS (or other) cloud services; experience with ETL techniques and workloads.
  • Software development experience with OO languages (Python, Scala, …).
