What you will do

  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Pre-Sales, Network Strategy, Engineering, and Product management to understand and position novel use cases.
  • Guide qualified prospects through Solution Design, showcasing Cloudflare's platform capabilities.
  • Drive Proof of Concept stages, including hands-on engagement, debugging, and consistent communication.
  • Design optimized Cloudflare solutions based on client requirements and clearly communicate benefits, challenges, and migration paths.
  • Support technical discussions regarding the Cloudflare platform to ensure sound design and overcome objections.
  • Contribute to go-to-market efforts through writing blogs, public speaking, and conference attendances.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of prior Technical Sales, Computer Engineering, or related experience.
  • Solid technical understanding of Systems and Network Architecture, including BGP, DNS, GRE, Routing, and Switching.
  • Detailed understanding of user-to-application workflow, including hybrid architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP) and SASE/Zero Trust Networking concepts.
  • Solid technical understanding of Computer Architecture, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Database technologies, and Systems Design.
  • High-level understanding of trending AI use cases and their architectures.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity trends, attacks (DDOS, SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting), and Application/Security products (WAF, Bot Management, DDOS, Firewall, CDN).
  • Hands-on experience with HTTP-based APIs, REST, JSON, Terraform, and scripting languages like Python.
  • Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, prioritize goals, and explain complex technical concepts.

Nice to have

  • Experience building a web application (professionally or as a hobbyist).
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting the Cloudflare platform.
  • Industry Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH, OSCP).
  • Certification with any major Cloud Provider.
