What you will do

  • Implement backend solutions for AEM (Cloud Service) and EDS, including Sling Models, OSGi services, and custom workflows.
  • Model content with Content Fragment Models and expose structured content via GraphQL for omnichannel consumption.
  • Define caching strategies using Dispatcher/CDN for EDS and classic AEM delivery.
  • Implement business logic, extend Core Components, and build services integrating with external systems like CRM, PIM, and DAM.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines for AEM Cloud Service, including code quality gates, static analysis, and automated tests.
  • Apply OWASP best practices for security, handle PII compliance, and design role-based access and workflow governance.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of software engineering, 6+ years with AEM, and 4+ years with AEM Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services.
  • Strong Java 11+/17, Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak, AEM Core Components, Content Fragments, GraphQL skills.
  • Experience with Universal Editor authoring models and EDS delivery workflows.
  • Proficiency in API design (REST/GraphQL), integration patterns, and event-driven architectures.
  • Expertise in DevOps practices: CI/CD, cloud logging/monitoring, and Dispatcher/CDN tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of security practices: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, secure headers, and secrets management.
  • Performance engineering: caching, indexing, query optimization, asset processing, and pagination strategies.

Nice to have

  • Adobe Cloud Manager pipeline tuning and Adobe I/O Runtime (serverless).
  • Headless/omnichannel delivery to mobile/web/IoT.
  • Experience with GraphQL federation, schema stitching, or API gateways.
