What you will do
- Own and lead multi-year initiatives to scale security monitoring and detection capabilities cost-effectively
- Ensure high technical quality and operational excellence of security monitoring infrastructure and automation
- Prioritize short-term and long-term security goals balancing team productivity and system health
- Participate directly in detection and response operations, investigating alerts and triaging incidents
- Collaborate with multiple teams during security incidents and drive response efforts
- Manage team direction aligned with organizational strategy and support career growth and recruitment
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States and work onsite in Los Angeles or Palo Alto with 4+ days per week in office
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years industry experience or advanced degree with relevant experience
- At least 1 year experience as an Engineering Manager
- Proven expertise in detection and response areas such as digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, threat intelligence
- Development skills in Python, Go, and/or Java
- Advanced knowledge of OS internals and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud), Kubernetes
Nice to have
- Experience with threat hunting and automating threat detection and incident response
- Familiarity with BeyondCorp security model
- Strong communication skills and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels
