What you will do
- Conduct participatory assessments and in-depth interviews with education officials, teachers, and caregivers in the Amhara region.
- Review national education policies, strategies, and sector plans to ensure an enabling environment for CHBL models.
- Map available community resources, structures, and safe spaces for content delivery.
- Develop national/regional CHBL guidelines covering implementation strategies, training requirements, and quality assurance.
- Draft and present assessment findings and validation workshops to stakeholders.
- Create sample locally relevant learning models for home-based and small-group activities.
Requirements
- MA in Education or related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in conducting participatory assessments in the education sector.
- Proven experience in reviewing education policies and producing high-quality learning materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Amharic.
- Demonstrated track record of working with government stakeholders and community members.
- Familiarity with the education sector and community structures in the target woredas of Amhara.
