What you will do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and COO on legal, regulatory, and risk matters.
  • Support the evolution of Addepar’s global commercial contracting strategy and scale contract processes.
  • Lead global privacy and data governance programs aligned with Addepar’s handling of sensitive financial and personal data.
  • Provide legal guidance on AI-native product development, including data usage, model governance, and transparency.
  • Build and maintain a practical, scalable compliance framework appropriate for a global fintech platform.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing legal team, managing disputes and investigations.

Requirements

  • Senior Leadership: Significant experience as General Counsel, Deputy GC, or equivalent in a high-growth technology company.
  • Commercial Expertise: Deep experience with enterprise commercial contracts and complex customer environments.
  • Data & Privacy: Strong background in privacy, data protection, and regulatory risk (ideally in fintech, SaaS, or data-intensive platforms).
  • Scale: Proven ability to scale legal processes in fast-moving, global organizations.
  • Management: Experience leading and developing senior legal leaders.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting AI-driven products or emerging technology platforms.
  • Global experience across EMEA and APAC markets.
  • Prior exposure to regulated financial services (banks, RIAs, institutional clients).
  • Experience with M&A, or other strategic liquidity events.
