What you will do

  • Engineer and operate Google Cloud platform capabilities supporting organization-wide Data & AI workloads.
  • Design standardized, reusable platform patterns for IaC, CI/CD, security, and observability.
  • Ensure platform resilience and performance by applying SRE practices and proactive incident prevention.
  • Lead engineering delivery of platform features in collaboration with architects and data teams.
  • Drive engineering-led cost optimization aligned with FinOps best practices.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership within the Cloud Engineering squad.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for security clearance is required.
  • Strong experience engineering on Google Cloud for data or AI workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and automated IaC delivery.
  • Proven ability with IAM, cloud security patterns, and controls for regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to engineering standards and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience operating containerized workloads on GKE or Cloud Run.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, or Composer.
  • Experience with Python or Go for platform tooling and automation.
  • Knowledge of FinOps practices or ML Ops workflows.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant technical field.
