TL;DR

Principal Security Architect, Field CTO (AI & Data Cloud): Designs and advises customers on security mechanisms related to Snowflake AI & Data Cloud, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. What you will do

  • Help scope security-related feature enhancements and collaborate with Product Management to improve product security.
  • Assist in clarifying concepts of data engineering, data warehousing, data collaboration, AI, and Machine Learning, sharing industry best practices and building demos and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Support, to drive customer security feature adoption.
  • Work and collaborate with other Field CTO members in areas of Enterprise AI, Gen AI, Data Engineering, and Applications.
  • Partner with the product team to shape the vision and capabilities for Snowflake Data Marketplace.
  • Share knowledge with internal and industry communities via webinars & conferences.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of customer-facing and hands-on implementation experience with a focus on data concepts, privacy, governance, networking, infosec, and security technologies.
  • Proven experience engaging with CxO-level stakeholders to articulate Snowflake's security architecture, data protection capabilities, and risk posture.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts such as Authentication and Authorization, Identity and Access Management, Encryption, and Data Governance.
  • Expertise and in-depth working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their corresponding security, data encryption, and networking architecture.
  • Ability to build demos, configure CSP environments, build prototypes, and test use cases on the Snowflake platform.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK and how to articulate controls and security mechanisms within a Risk Assessment centered approach.
  • Fair understanding of the culture diversity across Asia Pacific Japan region and flexibility of working with customers and colleagues from multiple APJ time zones.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, and APIs.
  • Hands-on expertise with software containerization in Kubernetes, including the use of Terraform or similar technologies.
  • AWS/Azure/GCP security or networking specialty related current/valid certifications.
  • Experience in Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Infosec Auditing.
