Sr. Software Engineer - Falcon Fusion Product (Hybrid): Building platform products to provide orchestration and workflow capabilities to users of Crowdstrike’s Falcon Platform with an accent on cloud engineering principles and high-scale events processing. Focus on building fault tolerant Golang microservices and supporting ultra-high volume Kafka event pipelines.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.

What you will do

  • Build highly fault tolerant Golang microservices to add features and functionality to the Fusion product.
  • Support ultra-high volume Kafka event pipelines managing customer workflows.
  • Work with industry-leading technologies like Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
  • Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects.
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement solutions.

Requirements

  • Experienced building streaming platforms at scale.
  • At least 7 years of overall applicable experience in a technical role.
  • 4+ years of recent experience building an event-driven, microservices-oriented architecture.
  • Expert knowledge of any of the following backend languages: Go, Scala, Java, Node.js or Python.
  • Proven expertise in building distributed systems, micro services, REST APIs.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

  • Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Golang experience.
  • Prior experience with cybersecurity.
