What you will do

  • Lead and scale multiple engineering teams to deliver sustainable results and high-quality enterprise platform features.
  • Set technical strategy including evolving legacy systems and implementing scalable architectural primitives like event-driven and multi-tenant architectures.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and GTM teams to align platform development with upmarket expansion and business goals.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, mentorship, and effective performance management.
  • Drive key architectural initiatives to support Vanta's growth into the enterprise segment.
  • Influence engineering culture and strategy while balancing ambiguity, data, and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Canada
  • 8+ years of engineering leadership experience in a high-growth environment.
  • Deep experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS products and complex platform infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling organizations of 30+ people with multiple layers of reporting.
  • Expertise in architectural evolution, specifically transitioning from monoliths to microservices and multi-tenant architectures.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience or passion for integrating AI to improve engineering efficiency and product impact.
  • Experience in security or GRC-related domains.
