What you will do

  • Lead a team of 5 software engineers specialized in high volume data streaming/storage, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and pragmatic engineering culture.
  • Support architectural decisions, review technical approaches, and help the team make thoughtful, scalable trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with the right people, identifying and eliminating blockers & inefficiencies quickly, handle conflicts by de-escalating and proposing an action plan.
  • Drive the successful and timely delivery of high-impact, large-scale backend/data projects at the core of our platform.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a backend or data engineer, ideally in a data-intensive or high-scale environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering management, with a strong focus on team delivery, structure and clear communication.
  • A pragmatic and structured approach to engineering management, including mentoring, regular 1:1s, goal setting, career guiding and fostering a strong sense of ownership and belonging.
  • Familiarity with technologies used in our technical stack such as AWS/Azure, Kafka, Scala, Go, ClickHouse, Singlestore is a plus – but not a requirement.
