What you will do
- Manage the lifecycle of local payment methods, from discovery and integration to performance monitoring and optimization.
- Act as the go-to expert on payment systems in Mexico.
- Identify and evaluate new payment partners and processors, negotiating terms, and supporting onboarding and integration efforts.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of payment features across the platform.
- Monitor key payment KPIs and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence and insights on payment trends and competitive landscape in the Mexican fintech market.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, or e-commerce, ideally with exposure to payment method management in Mexico.
- Strong understanding of the Mexican payment infrastructure.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, anti-fraud measures, and payment compliance requirements under CNBV and other local regulatory bodies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance, and identify trends or issues.
- Proficiency in English (intermediate to advanced).
Nice to have
- Knowledge of payment reconciliation, settlement, and treasury operations is a plus.
- Experience working with cross-functional product and technical teams (e.g., APIs, payment gateways).
