What you will do

  • Lead a feature squad end-to-end, managing people, processes, and technical direction.
  • Own performance management for engineers, including 1:1s, growth conversations, and formal reviews.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to develop quarterly project plans.
  • Guide the team through the full SDLC, from system design to production observability.
  • Contribute directly to the codebase to improve quality and engineering standards.
  • Maintain team focus and predictability within a quarterly planning and 2-week cycle cadence.
  • Build and maintain a healthy remote-first team culture with clear communication and strong async habits.
  • Participate in hiring engineering talent for the squad and the broader organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of formal engineering management experience leading software engineering teams to ship production software.
  • Possess a strong technical foundation, with experience building and operating production systems.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop engineers across multiple levels.
  • High emotional intelligence and communication skills, especially important in a remote environment.
  • Sound business judgment, understanding and influencing team priorities.
  • Experience working effectively in cross-functional product teams.
  • Comfort with remote-first work across time zones, balancing flexibility with team needs.
