TL;DR

What you will do

  • Build and scale the next-generation platform for delivery of groceries, pharmaceuticals, and other products.
  • Design and optimize internal back-office applications, including product databases and catalog management.
  • Develop reliable, high-concurrency systems using Java and Kotlin in a Kubernetes-based environment.
  • Manage system performance through monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus and Datadog.
  • Contribute to the full lifecycle of services, including API design, database performance, and deployment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
  • Strong background in distributed systems and large-scale application architecture.
  • Professional experience running highly available workloads on Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Kafka.
  • Solid foundation in Computer Science, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Berlin, Germany.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Golang.
  • Deep understanding of relational database internals and storage engines.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions or Spinnaker.
