What you will do
- Extend OpenEye’s programming toolkits by developing new scientific and technical features.
- Enhance OpenEye’s virtual screening platform.
- Apply chemistry/cheminformatics expertise with ML experts to build robust, scalable models.
- Work on retrospective and prospective projects to validate methodologies.
- Optimize compound design workflows in Orion.
Requirements
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in computational chemistry, chemistry, cheminformatics, or related field with 0 – 3 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of computational chemistry approaches such as docking, virtual screening, molecular modeling.
- Programming expertise in c++ and/or python.
- Experience or desire to learn about the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenEye software/toolkits.
- Expertise with diffusion models, transformers or 3D ML representations.
- Experience with synthetically accessible, pharmaceutically relevant generative chemistry.
