What you will do

  • Extend OpenEye’s programming toolkits by developing new scientific and technical features.
  • Enhance OpenEye’s virtual screening platform.
  • Apply chemistry/cheminformatics expertise with ML experts to build robust, scalable models.
  • Work on retrospective and prospective projects to validate methodologies.
  • Optimize compound design workflows in Orion.

Requirements

  • PhD (or equivalent experience) in computational chemistry, chemistry, cheminformatics, or related field with 0 – 3 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of computational chemistry approaches such as docking, virtual screening, molecular modeling.
  • Programming expertise in c++ and/or python.
  • Experience or desire to learn about the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Nice to have

  • Experience with OpenEye software/toolkits.
  • Expertise with diffusion models, transformers or 3D ML representations.
  • Experience with synthetically accessible, pharmaceutically relevant generative chemistry.
