What you will do

  • Own architectural evolution of major subsystems including GraphQL APIs and event-driven service communication.
  • Deliver full-stack technical contributions across Ruby on Rails backend, SvelteKit/TypeScript frontend, and AWS serverless infrastructure.
  • Optimize serverless background processing supporting 400+ Lambda workers.
  • Architect multi-tenant data strategies across MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis ensuring tenant isolation and compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps.
  • Mentor senior engineers by setting standards for code quality and architectural patterns.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work from the United States (Clearwater, Florida).
  • BS with 10+ years, MS with 5+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years experience scaling production Ruby on Rails applications and expertise in GraphQL and relational database tuning.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Vue preferred, SvelteKit or React) and TypeScript.
  • Deep experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EventBridge, S3) and Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Experience designing event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing at scale.
  • Demonstrated leadership at Staff Engineer level including architectural decision records and compliance environment experience.
