What you will do

  • Lead, grow, and develop engineering teams through hiring, coaching, and career development.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define and execute long-term vision for Business Email products.
  • Drive zero-to-one product initiatives from concept to launch while maintaining existing systems.
  • Provide technical direction via architecture reviews and system design guidance.
  • Ensure system health, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence across distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to align roadmaps and deliver outcomes.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be able to work hybrid in New York City office (3 days per week)
  • 5+ years managing software engineering teams building customer-facing distributed systems.
  • Experience managing managers and scaling engineering organizations.
  • Proven success leading zero-to-one product launches and balancing new product investment with operational excellence.
  • Strong architectural judgment in backend and distributed systems.
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and fostering an inclusive team culture.
