What you will do

  • Help clients adopt Microsoft Fabric with proper engineering practices, reproducible deployments, and testable code.
  • Design lakehouses and data pipelines within the Fabric platform.
  • Tackle complex challenges like CI/CD setup, environment management, and workspace structuring for large teams.
  • Define architectural patterns for data platform solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and align stakeholders on design choices, ensuring informed decisions.
  • Work on projects of varying lengths in mixed Xebian and client teams.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, with a drive to define best practices.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, CI/CD, and code review.
  • Experience with (or eagerness to tackle) data scale challenges.
  • Curiosity beyond Fabric, with experience or interest in other clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP) and tools (Spark, Terraform, dbt, Airflow).
  • Enjoy working for different clients and learning in new environments.
  • Strong communication skills to explain designs and align stakeholders.
