What you will do

  • Design and conduct moderate scope research and experiments.
  • Develop and test therapeutic gene circuits for controlling and enhancing anti-tumor responses of primary immune cells, including T cells and macrophages.
  • Perform molecular cloning, protein design, design and build genetic circuits, and lentiviral transduction of immune cells.
  • Conduct immune profiling and in vivo tumor models.
  • Contribute to the writing and preparation of high-impact manuscripts, grant proposals, and community resources.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, immunology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 1+ years of related experience is preferred; this may include post-doctoral experience.
  • Independent scientific thinker, able to independently develop research concepts and design experiments.
  • Forward-thinking and highly innovative, with a nimble scientific/technical mind, able to rapidly develop and execute on creative solutions to technical roadblocks.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with proven experience working effectively across experimental and computational research groups in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to clearly and concisely describe complex experimental methods and interpret results to diverse audiences.
