What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day QA delivery across multiple product teams ensuring alignment with sprint and release goals.
  • Provide quality signals to Engineering and Product partners to support informed tradeoffs and predictable delivery.
  • Maintain testing progress and risk visibility through Agile ceremonies and targeted check-ins.
  • Expand automated test coverage using modern frameworks, with strong preference for Playwright.
  • Support adoption of AI-enabled QA tools and build scalable automation approaches.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed QA team fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the United States, preferably Eastern or Central time zones.
  • 5+ years in software delivery, QA, or test engineering; 2+ years in QA leadership or people management.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery and embedded QA collaboration within scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills across Engineering, Product, and Support.
  • Calm, steady leadership style with strong ownership and follow-through.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling automation in multi-product environments.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools or emerging QA productivity workflows.
  • Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
  • Familiarity with Aha! or similar product planning and delivery tools.
  • Background supporting SaaS modernization or cloud transitions.
  • Knowledge of K–12 finance or ERP systems.
