What you will do
- Design, implement, and continuously improve browser accessibility across complex UI components.
- Own and enhance the accessibility of table/grid-based interfaces, including screen reader interactions and advanced keyboard navigation.
- Review existing accessibility implementations and refine them based on internal and external audit feedback.
- Conduct accessibility audits, identify gaps, and drive remediation efforts end-to-end.
- Ensure compliance with modern accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., WCAG).
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and UX teams to embed accessibility into product development workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Front End / UI Engineer working on complex, production-grade applications.
- Proven, hands-on experience with browser accessibility in real-world products.
- Strong practical knowledge of screen readers, assistive technologies, keyboard-only navigation, and ARIA roles/attributes.
- Excellent proficiency in JavaScript and modern frontend development.
- Experience building and maintaining complex UI components such as tables, grids, or data-heavy interfaces.
- Deep understanding of WCAG, with a strong focus on WCAG 2.1 AA, Semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA roles, Keyboard UX design, and Screen reader literacy (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
- Advanced, production-level experience with React and modern component-based architectures.
