Location: Candidates located in Central and Eastern Time Zone can also be considered for this position, with travel to customers up to 20% of the time.

What you will do

  • Work on impactful customer technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures and productionalizing customer use cases.
  • Scope professional services work with engagement managers, incorporating input from the customer.
  • Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational big data projects and 3rd party migrations.
  • Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap hands-on projects to ensure customer understanding and adoption of Databricks.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to deliver technical components that meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
  • Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala.
  • Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Apache Spark™ runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.
