What you will do

  • Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities within the events industry.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business development strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including agents, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling proposals and pitches for prospective clients.
  • Build relationships with potential customer groups within government and funding agencies.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the events or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
