What you will do

  • Act as the primary HR lead for all Works Council matters in Berlin.
  • Establish and manage consultation and co-determination workflows across the employee lifecycle.
  • Advise on co-determination topics including hiring, performance management, compensation, policy changes, and organizational changes.
  • Lead HR input into the design of King’s German Works Council operating model.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on German labor law for managers and leaders.
  • Coordinate Works Council involvement in annual and cyclical processes, including performance management and policy updates.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working with German Works Councils (Betriebsrat) and codetermination processes.
  • Deep knowledge of German labor law and employment legislation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, consultation-heavy HR environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including Legal, leadership, and employee representatives.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and highly reliable in documentation and follow-through.
  • Fluent in business German and English (written and spoken).
