What you will do

  • Develop and implement custom machine learning models for signal processing, sensor fusion, and system optimisation
  • Design models for noise suppression, drift compensation, anomaly detection, and adaptive calibration
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines for high-dimensional experimental and time-series datasets
  • Train, validate, and optimise machine learning models using Python-based frameworks
  • Integrate ML inference into real-time or near-real-time control environments
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate complex data into actionable improvements

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in Oxfordshire, UK
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Quantum, or related discipline
  • 2+ years industry experience developing and deploying machine learning models
  • Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch, pandas, scikit-learn
  • Experience with large datasets and high-performance computing environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • PhD in relevant field
  • Experience deploying ML models to edge or embedded hardware
  • Experience with MLOps workflows including continuous training and deployment
  • Experience with real-time systems and advanced signal processing
