What you will do
- Respond to and assist with security requests and incidents from Ramp team members
- Review logging, alerting, and audit sources to identify and triage potential security incidents
- Create, maintain, and tune runbooks and security alerts for effective incident handling
- Collaborate with Security Engineers to improve alerting and automated remediation
- Utilize log ingestion platforms for security analytics and attacker pattern identification
- Design and implement automation to detect and respond to threats
Requirements
- 3-4 years of IT experience or equivalent education/training
- Experience in information security, especially in C/SIRT, CERT, CSIRC, or SOC teams
- Experience with query-based log management solutions (ELK, Datadog, Panther, etc.)
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Must be comfortable working onsite at NYC HQ at least 2 days per week
Nice to have
- Experience with government entities or highly regulated environments
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+
- Experience with workflow automation tools (Tines, Swimlane, etc.)
