TL;DR
Federal Sales & Operations Internship: Assisting the sales and support teams by identifying business opportunities and selling SolarWinds products with an accent on prospecting, lead generation, and consultative approaches. Focus on collaborating with various teams to translate data requirements into sales actions and conduct technical problem-solving for customers.
Location: Reston, Virginia. Must work in hybrid mode 3+2, a minimum of 3 days at the office with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays and a maximum of 2 days remote per week.

What you will do
- Establish business relationships with IT decision-makers to identify opportunities and sell SolarWinds products and services.
- Prospect, qualify, and support business opportunities in collaboration with the Public Sector Sales and Support Teams.
- Strategically identify renewal, new business, channel partnership, and local market opportunities.
- Educate prospective clients on products and services by conducting compelling product demos.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations analysts and other teams to translate data requirements into sales actions.
- Identify the best platform fit for customers and cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, while maintaining customer rapport.
Requirements
- Undergraduate engaged in a Business or STEM degree program with a minor in Business Information Systems, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong time management ability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with multiple areas of the company.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 and a willingness to learn internal systems and other technical tools.
