Solutions Analyst: Supporting technology for customers' exploration IS&T and subsurface data management environments with an accent on ensuring DAP server technology runs smoothly. Focus on proactively identifying and addressing issues, particularly as they relate to existing implementations.

What you will do

  • Monitor support queues and deliver responsive, high-quality first-tier support for the DAP solution.
  • Provide second-tier support to established customer sites, helping solve more complex technical challenges.
  • Proactively identify and address issues, particularly as they relate to existing implementations.
  • Own the lifecycle of support tickets, including following up, communicating clearly, and ensuring timely, and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Lead and execute DAP upgrades in alignment with project delivery schedules.
  • Deliver training sessions at customer sites to aid with solution integration and adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in a customer-focused IT or Database Administrator role, with exposure to server-based data management technologies.
  • Strong competence with Windows desktop and server technologies; network systems including internet connectivity/proxy/firewall, intranet, VPN; and cloud environments (Azure, Azure SQL, AWS).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
  • MCSE and ITIL certification is an asset.
  • Good understanding of enterprise data management requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience reviewing large geoscience data sets is an asset.
  • Familiarity with earth science applications such as Leapfrog or Oasis Montaj is considered an asset.
