What you will do

  • Apply automated nHDX-MS workflows to characterize protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions, including epitope mapping.
  • Identify binding sites for drugs and metabolites within complex mixtures.
  • Develop methods for successful interrogation of challenging targets (membrane proteins, transcription factors, macromolecular assemblies).
  • Advance analytical capabilities of nHDX-MS by leveraging Electron Transfer Dissociation (ETD) for single-residue resolution.
  • Lead high-impact collaborative research at the intersection of cancer biology, epigenetics, and chemical biology.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field required.
  • Fundamental understanding of molecular biology highly desired.
  • Proven track record of scientific excellence, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in HDX-MS sample preparation, data generation, and interpretation is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in programming (R or Python) and experience analyzing large-scale datasets is an advantage.
