What you will do

  • Manage technical feasibility assessments, planning, and design optimization for mining technology projects.
  • Lead product improvement initiatives and stimulate innovation within the development team.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for product analysis, validation, and production support.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, commercial teams, and external suppliers to align solutions with product strategy.
  • Ensure seamless integration of technical solutions within the Caterpillar site technology ecosystem.
  • Monitor industry trends in technology and materials to identify new product development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in product design, software development, or mining technology.
  • Proven track record in team leadership and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a history of self-directed work.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact diplomatically with mining customers while applying high-level technical expertise.
  • Must be authorized to work in Australia and able to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • 5+ years of specific experience in software and systems development.
  • Advanced experience with automation and information technologies for machinery.
