What you will do

  • Analyze complex payroll challenges and design automated, scalable solutions.
  • Own hands-on configuration of Workday Payroll, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, tax setup, costing allocations, pay slips, and security frameworks.
  • Ensure multi-state U.S. payroll compliance while supporting global payroll harmonization and country rollouts.
  • Design or troubleshoot integrations using Workday EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Develop or support Workday custom reports, Dashboards and Analytics to drive efficiency and controls.
  • Support SOX compliance, audit readiness, release impact analysis, and continuous system optimization.
  • Develop and execute roadmaps for leveraging AI to streamline payroll processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a hands-on role focused on Payroll Systems.
  • Proven hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Payroll.
  • Experience building Workday Custom Reports and calculated fields.
  • Experience supporting integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio) and working knowledge of Workday APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Strong functional knowledge of U.S. payroll (federal, state, and local compliance).
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Nice to have

  • SQL proficiency and experience with Snowflake.
