What you'll do:
- Craft and execute comprehensive PR and communication strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on media relations, executive thought leadership, and ecosystem growth.
- Oversee external PR agencies and partners globally, setting clear KPIs and ensuring consistent delivery on brand goals.
- Establish and nurture deep relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers within the blockchain, crypto, and broader technology sectors.
- Generate high-quality content across diverse channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media, and executive briefing materials.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, preparing them for media interviews, keynote speeches, and industry panels.
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and technical accuracy.
- Spearhead crisis communications and proactively develop frameworks to mitigate potential reputational risks.
- Monitor and analyse PR metrics to optimise performance and report on share of voice and sentiment to key stakeholders.
What you'll need:
- Extensive experience in PR and communications, with at least 3 years of deep immersion in the blockchain and crypto landscape.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts (such as Layer 2 scaling) into accessible narratives for various audiences.
- Established network of media contacts within the Web3 space and mainstream business/tech press.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio that demonstrates versatility in tone and format.
- Demonstrated experience in managing high-stakes communications and safeguarding organisational reputation in a 24/7 news cycle.
- Track record of developing and implementing PR initiatives that directly contribute to long-term business growth.
- Team player who thrives in a remote-first, fast-paced environment and can provide calm, strategic counsel under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
