TL;DR
Senior IT Auditor: Performing technology audits, assessing technology risks, and evaluating information security controls across the enterprise. Focus on evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT and security controls, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve audit methodologies and control environments.
Location: Hybrid – On-site in Detroit, Michigan at least once per week. Must reside in Michigan.

What you will do
- Execute IT and information security audits.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT and security controls.
- Perform testing related to information security controls, SOC reports, and SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs).
- Assess risks across IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Review and evaluate control frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to communicate audit findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- 5–6 years of IT Audit experience, with a strong focus on information security.
- Experience performing IT and security control testing, including control design assessment.
- Strong understanding of IT audit frameworks, information security controls, and SOC and SOX environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline).
- Must reside in Michigan
Nice to have
- Background in public accounting preferred (Big 4 experience a strong plus, but not required).
- CISA, CISSP, or Cloud-related certifications (Cloud Auditing Certification).
- AI or other relevant technology certifications.
