What you will do
- Assess vendor security reports to mitigate third-party data risks.
- Collect and organize evidence for security control testing, including server logs and access reports.
- Maintain the corporate risk register to proactively track and address vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security and compliance controls.
- Ensure adherence to frameworks such as NIST-CSF, CIS, CSA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
Requirements
- Current residency in Nevada required.
- Enrollment as a student at a Nevada college with 2 years of tech experience, OR 2 years of completed coursework toward a degree in Cyber, Business, or IT.
- Strong ability to research and explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Baseline understanding of business processes and security compliance fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and proactive problem-solving.

- Advanced certifications such as CISA, CySA, Security+, or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity.
