What you will do

  • Assess vendor security reports to mitigate third-party data risks.
  • Collect and organize evidence for security control testing, including server logs and access reports.
  • Maintain the corporate risk register to proactively track and address vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security and compliance controls.
  • Ensure adherence to frameworks such as NIST-CSF, CIS, CSA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.

Requirements

  • Current residency in Nevada required.
  • Enrollment as a student at a Nevada college with 2 years of tech experience, OR 2 years of completed coursework toward a degree in Cyber, Business, or IT.
  • Strong ability to research and explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Baseline understanding of business processes and security compliance fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and proactive problem-solving.

Nice to have

  • Advanced certifications such as CISA, CySA, Security+, or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity.
