What you will do

  • Develop control algorithms for power electronics converters and power systems.
  • Analyze system dynamics, stability regions, and bandwidth limitations using classical and modern control techniques.
  • Design robust control strategies and develop mathematical models of power electronic systems.
  • Conduct small-signal and large-signal analyses and tune controllers using various methods.
  • Simulate and validate control system performance through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or experimental measurements.
  • Collaborate with power electronics, firmware, and systems engineers to implement integrated controls on digital platforms.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Previous professional experience in a similar role.
  • Strong background in control algorithms for power systems and power electronics.
  • Proven ability to analyze stability margins, bandwidth, and robustness of controlled systems.
  • Hands-on experience with control simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with implementation of control algorithms on digital platforms (microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs).
  • Good understanding of real-time control constraints and sampling effects.
  • German language skills.
