What you will do
- Collaborate with engineering and SRE teams to design secure solutions and perform threat modelling for cloud-native architectures.
- Define and enforce security configurations for public cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
- Automate security checks, policy enforcement, and remediation using IaC and CI/CD integrations.
- Implement runtime protection, vulnerability management, and secrets management for containerized services.
- Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to enhance detection and incident response capabilities.
- Support compliance and regulatory requirements as the platform scales into new international territories.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security within cloud-native, DevOps, or platform engineering environments.
- Practical experience securing AWS services, including IAM, networking, and secrets management.
- In-depth knowledge of securing Kubernetes and related orchestration tooling.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, Go, or Bash.
- Experience with logging, metrics, and tracing stacks like SIEM, ELK, Opensearch, or Prometheus.
