What you will do

  • Design, revise, and maintain buyer and seller-facing product taxonomies and navigation across multiple product verticals.
  • Implement and maintain ontologies and data structures supporting member-facing content and machine learning classification.
  • Balance member experience with taxonomy and metadata heuristics while preserving Vinted’s tone and voice.
  • Collaborate with user research, data analysts, engineers, product managers, and other teams to build and test impactful taxonomies.
  • Document internal standards, workflows, governance processes, and data models.

Requirements

  • Experience developing taxonomies and ontologies for front-end and back-end systems, preferably in ecommerce.
  • Strong understanding of taxonomy and ontology design principles and information architecture.
  • Basic SQL and spreadsheet skills.
  • Experience supporting search systems, content management, metadata schemes, or product classification.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
  • Location: Based in or able to work from Lithuania or Europe with hybrid work model.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-driven solutions and machine learning classification systems.
  • Fluency in additional Vinted market languages such as French, German, Spanish, Dutch, or Italian.
  • Experience in ecommerce environments.
  • Proficiency in ontology or knowledge graph development (e.g., RDF, OWL).
