What you will do

  • Define and drive architecture and design for a multi-tenanted wealth digital estate.
  • Manage complex architectural change involving multiple integrated systems.
  • Ensure designs meet high standards for security, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement modern architectural patterns including microservices, CQRS, and event-driven systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to simplify and redefine the data and technology landscape.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading architectural change within complex, multi-system environments.
  • Deep understanding of web and API architecture patterns (microservices, CQRS, pub/sub).
  • Proven ability to design solutions for security, scalability, and system reliability.
  • Practical knowledge of security patterns including OAuth, single-sign-on, and data encryption.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Edinburgh or Leeds.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing and building cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
  • Knowledge of domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
  • Leadership experience managing or mentoring other architects.
  • Experience prototyping solutions using various tech stacks.
