What you will do
- Design, provision, operate, and manage highly available, performant, and scalable distributed application systems on AWS.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance.
- Collaborate with development, product, security, and network teams.
- Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, system engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, compute, storage services, serverless computing and microservices architecture.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud) and multi-cloud strategies.
